What should I do if the camper vehicle breaks down?

We provide access to Roadside Assistance for all Thrifty customers. If your breakdown is caused by vehicle malfunction, Thrifty will cover the costs, even if the car needs to be towed.

For call outs where the customer is at fault, for example, the vehicle running out of fuel, or the keys being locked in the vehicle, a call out fee will apply.
What happens if I lose the keys?
First, you need to make sure that no one can steal the vehicle with the lost key.

If vehicle keys are lost, please contact ThriftyAdventure immediately for assistance.

Due to the remote and expansive nature of travel in Australia, please be aware that delivery of replacement keys may take several days depending on your location.

Please note that replacement keys and associated services are not covered by our insurance or protection plans, and additional charges will apply.

What should I do in case of an accident?
You must inform Thrifty in the event of any accident irrespective of whether it results in the vehicle being damaged or lost, or in the event of theft. You must report the accident to Thrifty as soon as practicable and in any event within 24 hours.
